Jacky Coville was born the 20th March 1936 in Sèvres. After having begun to pursue a career in aeronautical engineering, he abandoned his studies to dedicate himself to his passion for ceramics.

In 1976, Jacky Coville bought the workshop of Roland Brice, in Biot, who was the ceramist for Fernand Leger.

Jacky Coville has taken part in expositions since the 1970s, in France and across the globe. His works have been presented as early as 1976 in Japan, Germany, Belgium, and are regularly shown in Italy.

His talent has had such recognition, that he has won numerous awards including that of the `Medaille d`or de Faeuza,’ or that of Vallauris. His sculptures are often displayed in situ, for instance in the Musée d’Art moderne et d’Art contemporain de Nice or in the fountains of Saint-Sulpice in Paris, and yet he has also been accepted by much more notable institutions such as the FRAC Ile-de-France, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Musée des arts décoratifs de Paris, Musée de Sèvres, to name but a few.
